Inventory Control Clerk

As an Inventory Control Clerk you will be responsible for Maintaining records of materials in inventory and on order. Monitor reorder points and initiate action to replenish stock. Reconcile discrepancies in inventories and notify management of irregularities.

The position requires: a) monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels, including reconciling stock counts to computer reports; b) action to replenish stock by processing purchase orders and other related paperwork c) inspection of shipments for accuracy and completeness, and resolves inconsistencies; and d) performance of routine clerical duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.
- Records purchases, maintains database, performs physical count of inventory, and reconciles actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Receives, unpacks, and delivers goods; re-stocks items as necessary; labels shelves
- Processes and/or approves invoices for payment.
- Processes and documents returns as required following established procedures.
- Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones, and assisting customers.
- May serve as cashier and handle cash and cash-related payments.
- May lead, guide, and train staff/student employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control.
- Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data.
- Database management skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods.
- Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills.
- Ability to physically perform the job functions, which includes manually lifting up to 50 - 100+lbs occasionally

• Full-time hours
• $19.00 hourly wage
